Walking pace adjustment
The 1P200/1P200-KD knee comes adjusted for
medium walking pace.
To adapt the initial adjustments to the patient's
walking pace, adjust the knobs using a 2.5 mm
hex wrench :
1) To decrease the flexion angle in swing
phase, screw on the right knob (F). Proceed
conversely to increase the flexion angle.
2) To decrease the impact at the end of exten-
sion, screw on the left knob (E).
When the extension knob adjustment is
finalized, check that the knee can reach full
extension with low walking speeds (risk of
falling).
Flexion limit
When the patient is crouched or kneeled, the
socket must get in contact only with the flexion
limit of the lower axis of the rear linkage. The
socket must touch neither the rear linkage itself
nor the plate, because this could strongly
damage the knee.
Maintenance:
Check at least once a year the knee functions and make the necessary maintenance operations.
Spare stops : EE014 (two are necessary).
Use a silicon spray to eliminate possible noises due to cosmetic cover friction. Do not use talcum
powder because it damages the mechanical parts, which may lead to function defects and risk of
falling for the patient. The application of talcum powder will render all claims against PROTEOR
null and void.
Except from knobs (E) and (F), screwing out or loosening any other screws of the knee is
forbidden.
Do not grease the knee roll bearings because this could damage them very soon.
