CAT3 PRO
1 Identification
The CAT3 PRO robot mount is used in industry and the trade for connecting the robot and the
tool. CAT3 PRO is a three-dimensional crash protection device that can be adapted for use
with all robot types and handling units by means of an intermediate flange. It is available in the
following versions: CAT3 PRO CR (Cylindrical Release Shaft) and CAT3 PRO TR (Tapered
Release Shaft). These versions differ in the shape of their adapter used for connection to the
torch mount. CAT3 PRO CR has a cylindrical adapter and CAT3 PRO TR has a conical
adapter. These operating instructions describe only the CAT3 PRO CR and CAT3 PRO TR
robot mounts. The CAT3 PRO robot mount must only be operated using original
ABICOR BINZEL spare parts.
