9. Operation
The operating instructions of the products which are to be used with the UNIDRIVE are also applicable
independently of these operating instructions. The important parts, especially the function of the indi-
vidual products, can be found in them in detail.
9.1 Selection of the Anchor Point
To use the UNIDRIVE, anchor points each with a minimum load-bearing capacity of 10 kN are re-
quired (EU regulation). When being used outside the EU, the country-specific requirements for the
strength of the anchor points are applicable.
9.2 Anchoring the UNIDRIVE
The UNIDRIVE is fixed to the anchor point. In doing so, it must be ensured that no knots or kinks are
formed in the lifting gear. The lifting gear must hang straight and free, otherwise and the use of the
UNIDRIVE without risk is not possible.
The anchoring of the UNIDRIVE must not be carried out in areas where there is the danger of falling.
As soon as the activity is to be carried out on an open manhole or access opening, a fall arrest system
in accordance with EN 363, consisting of a full body harness in accordance with EN 361, connecting
