DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCT
The Ceramill has been specially designed for milling
porcelain as well as high-quality metal or acrylic work.
Its patented swivel arm with precision adaptor allows
a separate laboratory turbine with spray attachment
to be used. A specially shaped spray guard catches
the spray water, while still allowing a clear view of
the model.
INSTALLATION
After unpacking the unit, check immediately for any
damage in transit. If there has been damage in transit,
a claim should be made to the supplier.
HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
The entire vertical arm can be adjusted to any height
using the white height adjustment nut (8). To adjust
the height, first loosen the lever (7) on the vertical
column. Then turn the height adjustment nut to move
the vertical arm to the required position and lock the
vertical column again using the lever (7) The milling
arm/ swivel arm can also be adjusted vertically using
the height lock ring (6). An Allen key is supplied for
loosening and locking the height lock ring.
CAUTION: Always hold the swivel arm securely
when adjusting the height using the height lock ring
to prevent it falling suddenly and causing damage.

MILLING ARM / SWIVEL ARM
The milling arm / swivel arm (10) can be locked in
any position using the arm lock (3). The arm also
has a memory function. The positioned arm can be
moved to the side after loosening the lever (5) (e.g.
to change an instrument) and is returned to its origi-
nal position by means of the notching on the height
lock ring and swivel arm. The vertical carriage (9) of
the milling arm can be locked in any position with
the sure-grip screw (11) on the side of the carriage.
The height to which the vertical carriage has been
raised can also be read on the millimetre graduation
(12) on the side of the carriage (maximum raise 25
mm). The micrometer screw (1) on the top is used
for fine adjustment of the milling depth. The screw
has an axial graduation of 10 x 0.1 mm. One turn the-
refore raises the carriage 1 mm. The spring adjust-
ment (2) alters the retraction force of the spring to
attain a different resistance between manual milling
and drilling. To change the setting, press in the white
plastic disc on the side and pull up the sleeve grip
(to increase the spring resistance pull the sleeve up
and to decrease it push the sleeve down). Press the
plastic disc again in the opposite direction and lock
into one of the notches on the grip sleeve to set the
selected spring tension. A drill lever can be fitted to
the side of the milling arm if required (optional).
FITTING THE TURBINE
A laboratory turbine can be fitted to the vertical car-
riage (9) of the milling arm using an adaptor sleeve.
Insert the turbine into the adaptor, then place it in
the vertical carriage and lock it in position with the
sure-grip screw (13) on the side. The turbine hose
can be stabilised on the vertical column with the hose
holder (4). Adhere to the manufacturer's instructions
for use for operating and servicing the turbine.
MODEL TABLE
The model table (14) can be inclined up to 90° and
locked mechanically in any position using the lever
(15). The model table is returned to the level position
with a click-in mechanism. The eccentric locking lever
(17) integrated into the base loosens or locks the lower
section of the model table. The model table can also
be removed from the unit (e.g. for cleaning the col-
lector tray) when the locking lever is open (turn the
lever back).
COLLECTOR TRAY / SPRAY GUARD
The collector tray (16) is used for catching the milling
cuttings and turbine spray water. Both sides of the
collector tray are shaped so that they support the
arms comfortably, ensuring ergonomic milling. After
removing the model table, the tray can be taken off
for cleaning.
