For Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, the keyboard interfaces with the Microsoft IME to allow Asian character
input.
The IME uses the default configuration, which can be changed as desired in Windows.
l
Shortcuts or key combinations can be used within the IME, as long as the keys are present on the on-
l
screen keyboard. However, alphabetic letter keys might not work in these situations.
For Japanese:
l
The Space bar is used for conversion and re-conversion.
l
F6-F10 are used to quickly change a converted phrase to a specific character type.
l
If you need to select more than one character for reconversion, hit Shift + arrow key for each
l
character.
