1. General

This paper shredder is guaranteed according to our General Terms and Conditions of Sale and Delivery. The
guarantee becomes void when damage is caused by improper operation, repairs or intervention by persons
without proper authorisation.

Safety Instructions

1. Read operating instruction before use.
2. Follow all warnings and instructions marked on the product.
3. Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning.
4. Place this product as close as possible to power source for quick and easy unplugging.
5. The paper shredder may not be operated by persons under 16 years of age.
6. The funnel flap and cut material container must not be opened until the paper shredder is motionless.
7. No pedestals or other raised surfaces may be placed in the vincinity of the paper shredder if the alter
the safety clearances.
8. Operate from the type power source indicated on the marking label. If you are not sure of the type of
power available, consult your dealer or local electricity board.
9. Do not allow anything to rest on the power cord. Do not place this product where people may walk on
the cord.
10. If an extension cord is used with this product, make sure that the total of the ampere ratings on the
products plugged into the extension cord do not exceed the extension cord ampere rating. Also, make
sure that the total of all products plugged into the wall outlet does not exceed 16 amps.
11. The paper shredder only has to be installed in dry rooms.
Make sure no liquid is spilled on / into the product.
12. Protective installations which ensure the safe operation of the machine may not be made inoperative or
removed.
13. Keep paper shredder out of the reach of children.
14. Unplug this product and refer servicing to qualified personnel under the following conditions:
• When the power cord or plug is damaged or frayed.
• If liquid has been spilled on / into the product.
• If the product has been exposed to rain.
• If the product does not operate normally when the operating instructions are followed.
• If the product has tipped over or something has been damaged.

Never insert hand, fingers or any foreign object into the paper
feed opening.
Risk of injury from slivers!
Wear protective goggles when destroying diskettes, CDs and hard
credit cards.
Risk of injury by pulling in!
Keep long hair, loose articles of clothing, ties, scarves, jewellery
etc. away from feed opening. Material with the tendency to form loops, e.g. tapes,
strapping material, etc. must not be shredded.
