body [13-1] with screw driver [13-3].
Secure with Loctite 242.
■ Position nozzle head [11-7] on gun
body [11-6].
■ Tighten the four machine screws [11-
8] in criss-cross pattern.
■ Install paint needle [11-5].
■ Install both springs [11-3], [11-4].
■ Screw on end cap [11-2].
■ Screw on regulating cap [11-1].
■ Adjust required material flow rate (see
Chap. 9.2).
10.4. Replace spindle for
round and flat fan con-
trol
The procedure is the same for both
spindles.
Remove spindle
■ Unscrew counter-sunk screw [14-3].
■ Pull off control knob [14-2].
■ Pull out spindle [14-1] using SATA
universal wrench.
Install new spindle
■ Screw in spindle [14-1] using SATA
universal wrench.
■ Install control knob [14-2].
■ Tighten counter-sunk screw [14-3]
hand tight. Secure with Loctite 242.

10.5. Replace control piston
components
If the gasket or collar on the con-
trol piston is damaged, air can
escape from the material quantity
control
.

→ Replace gasket or collar imme-
diately.
The sealing surface on the con-
trol piston is extremely sensitive
and can be damaged easily.
→ Do not hold on sealing surface
to tighten control piston.
Remove components
■ Unscrew regulating cap [15-1].
■ Unscrew end cap [15-2].
■ Remove both springs [15-3], [15-4].
■ Remove paint needle [15-5].
■ Pull control piston [15-6] out with
duck-billed pliers.
■ Screw in control piston [16-7] using
SATA universal wrench.
■ Unscrew Allen screw (4 mm) [16-9].
■ Remove O-ring [16-8].
■ Unscrew hollow screw (14 mm)
[16-1].
■ Remove washer [16-2] and collar
[16-3].
■ Remove pressure spring [16-4],
washer [16-5] and gasket [16-6] from
control piston.
■ Check parts for damage and contami-
nation, clean or replace as required.
Install new components
■ Screw in control piston [16-7] using
SATA universal wrench.
