Appliance installation

f Hook the appliance by its slots in the back of the appliance on
f
to all four tabs of the wall mounting bracket simultaneously.
f Push the appliance to latch it in position.
f
1 Locking bolt

f Turn the locking bolt in the wall mounting bracket fully clock-
f
wise. This locks the appliance in place.

f Push the safety cap onto the locking bolt to prevent it from

loosening.

Removing the appliance

f Remove the safety cap from the locking bolt.
f
f Undo the locking bolt in the wall mounting bracket by turn-
f
ing it anti-clockwise.
f Lift the appliance up slightly and pull it forwards and away
f
from the wall mounting bracket.

Power supply

WARNING Electrocution
- Carry out all electrical connection and installation
work in accordance with relevant regulations.
- In the case of a permanent connection, the appli-
ance must be able to be separated from the power
supply by an isolator that disconnects all poles with
at least 3 mm contact separation.
- Do not install the appliance with a fixed power
cable.
Note
Observe the type plate. The specified voltage must match
the mains voltage.
f Ensure the on-site supply cable has an adequate
f
cross-section.
f When connecting the appliance via a standard socket, ensure
f
that this is easily accessible once the appliance has been
installed.
Series CNS-UE
f With a permanent connection, connect the three-core cable
f
to a junction box as follows.

3 Control cable = black
There are 3 possible ways to connect the appliance:
Appliance connected without control cable
Unregulated appliance. The control cable is not connected. In this
case, insulate the control cable.
Temperature setback via control cable
To reduce the temperature set at the thermostat (by 3 °C), the
black control cable is activated via an external electronic contact,
e.g. via a time switch.
Control cable connected to a control unit
You can connect the appliance to any control device that issues the
waveforms given in the following table as control signals.
