1.2 Discontinue use if the leads feel more than comfortably
warm while operating the tool.

Keep all connections dry and off the ground to reduce the risk of
electric shock. Do not touch the leads with wet hands.
3.
Prevent damage to the leads by observing the following:
3.1 Keep the leads away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.
3.2 Place the leads in a position that prevents them from coming
into contact with the tool and from getting caught by the
workpiece. The leads should always stay behind the tool.
UNPACKING
WARNING! Do not operate the tool if any part is missing. Replace
the missing part before operating. Failure to do so could result in a
malfunction and personal injury.
Remove the parts and accessories from the packaging and inspect for
damage. Make sure that all items in the parts list are included.

MOUNTING THE WINCH
The winch may be mounted in one of two ways, as a single unit using the
mounting plate to connect the fairlead to the unit or directly to the frame
or a platform without the mounting plate. The fairlead is connected to a
separate part of the vehicle such as a bumper in the latter case.

Choose a location on the vehicle that can withstand the stress
of the maximum weight capacity (see Specifications). You may
install a steel reinforcement plate or additional bracing to
strengthen the location.

Make sure there is adequate room for the winch (see
Specifications - Dimensions) and a minimum 3/8 in. thick, flat
surface for it to sit on. Verify the structure where the bolts will go
contains no hidden wiring or components. Relocate either the
winch or the wiring/components if there is overlap.
