Remove the cotter pin and shackle
pin. Position the cable loop between
the hook's bolt holes. Slide the
shackle pin through the bolt hole
and cable loop. Secure the shackle
pin with the cotter pin.
6.
Re-engage the clutch.
INSTALL THE
HANDLEBAR SWITCH
1.
Remove the center screw to separate the mount arm.
2.
Choose the handlebar location to mount the unit. Make sure the
wiring for the switch and solenoid are slack enough to avoid
interfering with the steering.
3.
Loosen the remaining bracket screw to slip the bracket over the
UTV handle bar. Avoid trapping any cables or hoses within the
bracket. Hand-tighten the bottom screw.
3.1 You may need to apply a strip of tape to the handle bar to
prevent the bracket from rotating once it is tightened.
4.
Remove the mount arm screw. Align the mount arm bolt hole
with the handle bar switch (#8) flange bolt hole. Reinsert the
screw through both the flange and the arm screw. Slide the
washer (#21), lock washer (#20) and nut onto the bolt and hand
tighten the screw.
5.
Align the remaining mount arm bolt hole with the upper bracket
bolt holes. Reinsert the screw through both the flange and the
arm screw. Slide the washer (#21), lock washer (#20) and nut
onto the bolt and hand-tighten the screw.
6.
Reposition the switch as desired, then tighten all the screws.
7.
Run the control wires to the solenoid mounting location. Secure
with zip ties or other methods. Ensure this does not impede
steering.
8.
Run the red wire to the wiring for the UTV's key start.
