CAUTION: Do not pull the rope more than
about 50 cm out and slowly feed it back by
hand.
For a good start, it is important to pull the rope
quickly and vigorously.
Pull the reversing starter again vigorously.
12. After starting the engine, run the engine for a few
seconds and then set the choke lever to the initial
position (Fig.13).
13. Switch safety lock Spraylance (14) at the trigger
(15).
Hold the spraylance (2) in a safe direction and
press the trigger (15). This cleans the pump sys-
tem of air and impurities.
How To Stop Pressure Washer (Fig. 14-16)
1. Let engine idle for two minutes.
2. ON / OFF switch (16) set to position "0"
3. Close the water supply
Switch safety lock Spraylance (14) at the trigger
(15).
Hold the spraylance (2) in a safe direction and
press the trigger (15).
Press and hold the spraylance (15) until all the
pressure has been relieved.
4. In case of nonoperation, switch the safety lock
on the spraylance (14).
How to Use Spray Tips (Fig. 17 & 19)
The quick-connect on the nozzle extension (4) allows
you to switch between five different spray tips. The
spray tips (12) vary the spray pattern as shown below.
Follow these instructions to change spray tips (12):
1. Engage safety latch on spray gun. Pull back collar
on quickconnect and pull current spray tip (12)
off. Place spray tip in recording spray nozzles
(3a).
2. Select desired spray tip (12):
• For gentle rinse, select white 40° or green 25°
spray tip.
• To scour surface, select yellow 15° or red 0°
spray tip.
• To apply detergent, select black spray tip.
3. Pull back on collar, insert new spray tip (12) and
release collar. Tug on spray tip (12) to make sure
it is securely in place.
4. For most effective cleaning, keep spray tip (12)
from 20 to 60 cm away from cleaning surface.
If you get spray tip too close, you may damage
cleaning surface.
5. Do not get closer than 30 cm when cleaning tires.

Cleaning and Applying Detergent
Important: Use detergents designed specifical-
ly for pressure washers. Household detergents
could damage the pump.
To apply detergent follow these steps:
1. Review spray tip (12) use.
2. Prepare detergent solution as required by manu-
facturer.
3. Place small filter (23) end of detergent siphoning
tube into detergent container.
m Caution!
Keep the detergent siphoning tube from coming in
contact with the hot muffler.
4. Make sure black spray tip (12) is installed.
(Low pressure).
NOTE: Detergent cannot be applied with
the high pressure spray tips (12) (White,
Green,Yellow, or Red).
5. Make sure garden hose is connected to water
inlet (19). Check that high pressure hose (13) is
connected to spray gun (2) and pump and start
engine (18).
6. Allow detergent to soak in between 3–5 minutes
before washing and rinsing. Reapply as needed
to prevent surface from drying. Do not allow de-
tergent to dry on (prevents streaking).
IMPORTANT: You must flush the detergent si-
phoning system after each use by placing the
filter into a bucket of clean water, then run the
pressure washer in low pressure for 1-2 minutes
Pressure Washer Rinsing
After you have applied detergent, scour the surface
and rinse it clean as follows:
1. Engage safety latch on spray gun (14).
2. Remove black spray tip (12) from nozzle exten-
sion (4).
3. Select and install desired high pressure spray tip
(12) following instructions in "How to Use Spray
Tips".
m Warning!
High pressure spray could cause you to fall if you are
too close to the cleaning surface.
4. Extract the suction hose with filter (23) or sepa-
rate it from the detergent.
5. Apply high pressure spray to small area and
check surface for damage. If no damage is found,
you can assume it is okay to continue cleaning.
6. Start at top of area to be rinsed, working down
with same overlapping strokes as you used for
cleaning.
