5. OPERATION
SAFETY ADVICES
Before starting the engine for the first time please read the
IMPORTANT SAFETY ADVICES and the chapter with the title
CHECKS BEFORE STARTING.
Carbon monoxide is toxic.
Inhaling it may cause unconsciousness that may lead to death.
Avoid areas and activities where you are exposed to carbon
monoxide gases.
Read the instructions for the machine powered by the engine and
follow the safety instructions in regard to starting, stopping and
operating the engine.
STARTING THE ENGINE
Cold start
1.
Move the throttle lever (attached to the machine) to the
CLOSED position

Warm start
2.
To start the engine when it is in a warm condition move
the throttle lever by approx. 1/3 the way towards
3.
Slightly pull the cranking handle of the recoil starter until you
feel a resistance. Then, pull briskly.
Guide the cranking handle slowly back to its home position.

If the throttle lever was in the CLOSED position for a cold
start of the engine, slowly move it to the position
while the engine warms up.

STOPPING THE ENGINE

To stop the engine simply set the ignition switch to
FAST.
SLOW.
