Anti-tip tubes
Anti-Tip Tubes (Fig.6.45)
The anti-tip tubes (1) provide additional safety for inexperienced
users when they are still learning how to operate their
wheelchairs. Anti-tip tubes (1) prevent a wheelchair from tipping
over backwards. The anti-tip tube (1) can be swung downwards
by pushing it or rotated forwards. There should be a gap of 30 to
50mm to the floor. To go up or down a step (e.g. kerb) the anti-tip
tubes must be swung forwards, to prevent them from touching
the ground.
WARNING!
Incorrect setup of the anti-tips will increase the risk of a
rearwards tip.
Crutch holder
Crutch Holder (Fig.6.46)
This device permits crutches to be transported directly on the
wheelchair. It has a Velcro loop to fasten crutches or other aids.
CAUTION!
Never try to use / remove the crutches or other aids while
moving.
