Always keep the instrument clean and free from dust
and fibrous material
Cleanliness of the test chamber is very important
Cleaning the test vessel is mandatory and a thorough
clean must be done daily/weekly depending on
frequency of testing
Introducing fibres or other particles into the test
vessel will result in erroneous breakdown values. A
small volume of a test sample can be used to rinse out
remnants of old oil
If there is any damage to the test vessel, chamber or
lid, the instrument should be repaired by a Megger
authorised repair facility
