Thisstovemust not beinstalled into a chimney that servesany other heating appliance. Theremust not be an
extractorfan fitted in the sameroomas the stoveas this cancausethe stoveto emit fumes into the room.

IMPORTANT:
When installing the UNIQ 37 woodstoves remove steel retaining bar across flue exit.
Remove bolts and takeoutbar replace andbolt cast onto collar.
In orderfor the stoveto perform satisfactorily the chimney height must be sufficient to ensurean adequate draught
so as to clearthe productsof combustionand prevent smokeproblems into the room.
Minimumdraft: UNIQ37 stovehas beentested with a draft of 12 Pa.
Maximum draft 25 Pa.
Flue gasflow 7.0 g/sec.
Flue gastemperature303°C. approximately 12 Pa.
NOTE:A chimney height of not less than 4.5 metres measuredvertically from the outlet of the stoveto the top of
the chimney should besatisfactory. Alternatively the calculationproceduregiven in BS5854:1980 may beused as
the basis fordeciding whether a particular chimney designwill providesufficient draught.
Theoutlet from the chimney should be abovethe roof of the building in accordancewith the provisions of Building
RegulationsApprovedDocumentJ.
If installation is into an existing chimney then it must be soundand have no cracksorotherfaults which might allow
fumes into the house. Olderproperties, especially, may have chimney faults orthe crosssectionmay betoo large
i.e. morethan 160 mm x 160 mm. Remedial action should be taken, if required, seeking expert advice, if necessary.
If it is found necessary to line the chimney then a flue liner suitable forsolid fuel must be used in accordancewith
Building RegulationsApproved DocumentJ.
Any existing chimney must be clear of obstructionand have beenswept clean immediately beforeinstallation ofthe
stove. If the stoveis fitted in placeof an openfire then the chimney should beswept one monthafter installation to
clear any soot falls which may haveoccurreddueto the difference in combustionbetween the stoveand the open
fire.
