2.4 Equipment operation
Follow the guidelines below to ensure safe operation of the unit:
1. The displayed temperature should be checked with an external temperature probe at least once a day
to ensure it is not overheating.
2. DO NOT use dangerous chemicals or other materials which may cause hazard of explosion or damage
to the unit.
3. Do not apply lids to the tubes heated inside the Mini Dry Bath Incubator in order to prevent the
possible hazard of explosion and damage. To prevent caps from popping open it is recommended
to use cap locks, like STARLAB's E1405-9000 for 0.5 ml tubes or I1415-1508 for 1.5/2.0 ml tubes.
4. A temporary conductivity caused by condensation might occur even though the unit is rated Pollution
Degree 2 in accordance with IEC 664.

3. Product overview
The Mini Dry Bath Incubator is suitable for a wide variety of applications and provides excellent temperature
control to deliver accurate and reliable experimental results, again and again. The single block dry bath
uses interchangeable heating blocks for a variety of applications, including restriction enzyme digestion,
denaturing DNA, Blood Urea Nitrogen, melting agar, coagulation studies, hybridization, and Hot Start
thermocycle reactions. Due to its moulded aluminium alloy chamber, the unit can also be used as a mini
water bath. The units incorporates a PID controller for easy temperature selection, rapid heating and
temperature stability. The temperature may be set in 0.1 °C increments from 5 °C above ambient to 100 °C.
The timer may be set from 1 to 9999 minutes.
