Please read this manual before carrying out any operation. It is compulsory to read this instruction
manual before starting any kind of action. The proper operation and full compliance of this product's
performance is guaranteed only if all the instructions provided in this manual are closely adhered to.
We guarantee that this product complies with the technical specifications described in this manual.
The manufacturer shall not be held responsible for any improper uses other than those described
herein. Use protective work gloves, protective footwear, hard hat and safety goggles.
Misuse:
- This product should only be used as described in this documentation; any other use is considered
improper.
- The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for any damage caused by the incorrect or unreasonable
use of the equipment.
- Moreover, misuse shall also void the warranty.
Take care of your tools:
- Be sure to store your tools in a clean state.
- Place the tools inside their original package.
WARNINGS
The tool set has been designed to lock clutches DPS6 and 6DCT250, so that they can be reinstalled
after any maintenance jobs are carried out (e.g. oil seal replacement). It is meant for use only with the
above-mentioned clutches.
DUAL CLUTCH DISASSEMBLY
Warning: when removing the gearbox, closely adhere to the instructions provided by the car
maker/manufacturer.
- Place the gearbox on a suitable workbench and position it so that the clutch casing bell faces upwards.
- Remove the clutch by using item BETA 1438K/PWR.
Caution: Before being reinstalled, the clutch must be locked on a locking device. Before
installing the clutch, lock the device. Do not attempt to lock the clutch without this tool set;
otherwise, it might get damaged beyond repair.
- Check that the 3 catches on clutch 1 are not engaged (fig. 1, circled in red).
- Check that the catches on clutch 2 are not engaged (fig. 2, circled in red).
