Testing the universal transmitter and contacts (integral and/or external)
Put control panel in test mode.
Re-clip the lid of the universal transmitter
to its base
Pressing the test key of the universal
transmitter puts it into test mode for about
90 s.
Operate alternately the internal contact
and any external contacts connected to the
universal transmitter to verify their
operation:
contact in alarm: the universal transmit-
ters test LED is illuminated,
contact healthy: the universal transmit-
ters test LED is off,
at every operation of the loop, the con-
trol panel emits:
- BEEP for non-supervised transmitters,
- BEEP followed by the type and zone num-
ber of a supervised intrusion transmitter.
If two NC contacts are installed

on the same universal transmitter,
the triggering of one renders the
other inoperative.

To test glass break detectors, care-
fully give a brief shock to the window,
using the handle of a large screwdriver,
at about 30cm from the sensor.

Normal mode:
At the end the test period, the universal
transmitter automatically reverts to normal
mode, the test LED no longer lights when
the loop is operated:
the non-supervised transmitters are
inhibited for 90 s following a transmission,
the supervised intrusion transmitters are
never inhibited: they transmit at every
change of state of the contacts or tamper
loop.

Testing the movement detection of the
roller shutter:
press the test key of the transmitter,
either lower or raise the shutter (4 to
8cm minimum),
the control panel signals with a sharp
BEEP followed by an annunciation of the
detectors programmed features at every
movement of the shutter.
At the end the test period, the detector
passes automatically to normal mode, the
test LED no longer lights when the shutter is
moved and the detector is inhibited for 90s
after each transmission.
