Attention: In order to make the model fly
straight, the mechanics
has to be installed in an angle of approx. 3.5° to
the right. This
set up is compensating the side thrust of the tail
rotor and keeping
the model fly straight. Be aware that therefore
the main frame section
and the mounts for the mechanics are not
symmetrical and should
not be accidentally switched when being
installed.
Now take the glazing
sheet and cut off the
reinforcement
strip leaving approx.
1mm excess material
around the strip. Now
separate the
reinforcements at the
markings into four
sections and sand off the crests around the drill
holes till the landing gear axle fits into the hole.
Do not sand off too
much material to avoid
any axle play. T ake the
two middle
reinforcements, cut off
the 1 mm rim, and
glue them as shown
with UHU Por exactly
over the holes on the
fuselage
side. The two outside reinforcements will be
needed later for the nose
wheel attachment.
Cut out the vacuum
molded mechanics
support along the
marked outline.
Sand off the molded
dome, until the
shortened tail tube fits
through the hole
created. Do not sand
off too much material, l to avoid any axle play.
Using UHU Por
glue the support as
shown to the main
former. Pay
attention that
the cut-out at the
former is to the left,
and also that the
lower edge of the
support runs
parallel to the cut-
out and the holes. Cut out for main shaft Axle
Glue the frame with UHU Por into the left half
shell flush with the
cut-out at the top and positioned at the bottom
approx. 1 mm behind the chassis axle. If
necessary, correct the former first with
sandpaper. Please pay attention, that the
former is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis.
Attention: Let the adhesive ventilate only
briefly, since otherwise shifting the two sections
will no longer be possible.
Fit the two half shells together and particularly
check the
section at the main former. Make sure that the
area towards
the tail motor is hollow throughout to allow you
to feed the
tail motor wires through. If this is not the case,
hollow out the half shells
as necessary. Make sure that the main frame is
located approx.
1 mm behind the chassis axle also on the right
side. Now glue the
shells together with UHU Por.
standing inside the window markings for
seating the window glazing.
Using the scalpel
cut out the
openings for the
carbon fiber main
shaft on both
fuselage half
shells.
Separate
fuselage and
canopy along
the marking
using the
scalpel.
Particularly
pay attention
thereby to an
even,
clean cut,
since the
separation
cannot be re-
done. Cut out
the space for
the windows
using the
scalpel,
leaving 1 to 2
mm material
