Start of work
Start the device as described in the chapter "Operation" of the
motor operating instructions.
Slowly move the throttle lever to the H position after the motor has
warmed up a bit.
The vibratory plate begins vibrating and moves forward.
Maintenance and cleaning
Before each maintenance and cleaning work
Stop the engine and allow it to cool down.
Remove the spark plug connector.
Wear protective gloves in order to avoid injury to
the hands.
Do not carry out maintenance work close to open
flames. Risk of fire.
Maintenance and repair work other than those described in this
chapter is only allowed to be carried out by service staff.
Safety devices removed for maintenance must be unconditionally
mounted properly and checked again.
Only use genuine spare parts. Other than genuine parts may result in
unpredictable damages and injury.
Maintenance
To guarantee a long and reliable usage of the product carry out the
following maintainance work regularly.
Check the device for obvious defects such as
loose fastening elements
worn or damaged components
incorrectly assembled and faulty covers and protective devices.
leaks from the fuel tank cap or fuel lines.
Necessary repair work or maintainance have to be carried out
before using the machine.
Check the V-belt
Check the V-belt first after 20 hours of operation and then every 50
hours of operation.
1.
Remove the belt cover (22).
2. Check the V-belt for cracks, fraying or wear.
Replace V-belts that are damaged or too long without
delay.
3.
Check the V-belt tension.
The V-belt tension is correct if it can be pressed down by
approx. 10 mm.
Tensioning the V-belt
1.
Loosen the four screws on the engine
2.
Unscrew the lock nuts (B)
3.
Tighten the V-belt (24) with the screws (25)
Make sure the belt pulleys of the clutch and eccentric are
aligned.

4. Re-mount the belt cover.
Replacing the V-belt
1.
Loosen the four screws on the engine
2.
Loosen the lock nuts (B) and the screws (25)
3. Move the engine so that the V-belt can be removed without any
problems.
4. Place a new V-belt.
5. Tension the V-belt by moving the engine so that you can press
down the V-belt by 10mm.
6.
Make sure the eccentric pulley (27) and the motor pulley (26)
are aligned.
7. Retighten the screws on the engine.
8. Re-mount the belt cover.

Change the eccentric oil after 200 hours of operation.
Allow the eccentric to cool down before changing the oil.
Remove the belt cover and the V-belt.
Loosen the screws on the eccentric housing and lift off the
complete upper section of the vibratory plate together with the
motor.
Unscrew the oil drain plug (13).
Inspect the sealing ring and replace it, if necessary.
Tilt the eccentric housing and let the oil drain into a vessel
holding approximately 0.5 l.
Check the oil for metal shavings
Put the eccentric housing again in an upright position and fill in
new oil,
Screw in the oil drain plug (13) with sealing ring (14) again.
Remove oil residues/soiling.
Eccentric oil
Recommended eccentric oil: SAE 20W or
Oil capacity: 0,08 l
Mount the upper section of the vibratory plate and then fit the V-
belt and belt cover again.
Cleaning
Clean the machine thouroughly after each application so
that faultless function is maintained.
Clean all movable parts on a regular basis.
Clean the case with a soft brush or dry cloth.
Do not clean the machine with running water or high-pressure
cleaners.
Do not use solvents (gasoline, alcohol, etc.) for plastic parts,
otherwise such parts may be damaged.
Keep the handles free of oil and grease.
Water, solvents and polishing agents shall not be
applied.
Keep also the cooling fins for the cylinder (e) free from dust
and dirt.
Clean the bottom side of the base plate as soon as compacted soil
adheres to it. Keep the bottom side of the base plate clean and
smooth.
