Installing the app on an Android/Apple
smartphone/tablet PC
In order to be able to control the main settings from a tablet PC or smart-
phone, you first need to install the relevant app for your tablet PC/smart-
phone that is available via the Playstore (Android) or AppStore (Apple).
Scan the adjacent QR code to be directed to the download page
for the iOS app in the AppStore or the Android app on Google Play.
Once you have installed and opened the app, the start page for
the app will appear and you will initially be required to register.
Carrying out basic settings on the base
station

Selecting PSTN/GSM mode

Decide here whether the alarm system should communicate via the landline
phone network or a mobile phone network.
You can find instructions for deactivating the mode that is not being used
under "Linect Alarm" on page 95.
− Call up the System Settings menu and set:
• the entry "Linect Alarm" to "ON" if you want to use PSTN mode (con-
nection to the phone line required) for controlling and messaging the
system;
• the entry "GSM Fail Tip" to "ON" if you want to use GSM mode (SIM card
required, available separately) for controlling and messaging the sys-
tem.
NOTICE!
GSM and PSTN modes are activated by default.
