USING THE TOOL
Remember that it is always the tool that must do the
work. There is no need for the operator to apply
extra pressure on the tool when it is working.
Maintain the contact with the work surface by
applying enough pressure to stop the tool from
bouncing. In this way, the rust will be removed from
the surface more quickly. Use the tool on rigid
surfaces and prevent it from moving away from the
edge, as this can damage the needles.
Do not keep a tool running at free speed as
this will lead to premature wear of the moving
parts. Always use the right type of needle.
CONVERSION TO CHISEL HAMMER
Unscrew the front sleeve (34) and remove it, along
with all the needles (30, 31, 32). Slide the anvil (36)
into the casing (22). Position the spring (32) on the
anvil (36). Screw the chisel support (37) and
tighten. Secure the assembly using the screw (39).
Slide the chisel (38) into the support (37) and lock
by turning the support ring (37) by one half turn.
CONVERSION TO NEEDLE SCALER
Loosen the Screw (39). Unscrew the chisel support
(37). Remove the spring (32) and the anvil (36).
Slide the needles (31) and the support (30) into the
casing (22). Position the spring (32) around the
needles in the casing (22). Slide the part (33) in the
front sleeve (34) to the end. Tightly screw the front
sleeve (34) on the casing (22).

DIFFERENT TYPES OF NEEDLES
POINTED TIP NEEDLES: With their pointed
pyramid head, these needles are particularly
effective for removing hard scale from materials
where slight surface irregularity is acceptable or
desirable (for bonding primer or paint, for example).
CHISEL TIP NEEDLES: These needles are used
to treat the same surfaces as the pointed tip
needles, but only leave a slight mark on the
surface.
FLAT TIP NEEDLES: The flat ends on these
needles will not mark metal surfaces - they may
even have a polishing effect. They can be used on
all fine metals and surfaces where light treatment is
necessary, such as brick or stone.
Full sets of needles of the same length must
