3. Prepare the Bath
CAUTION: Risk of personal injury. This bath is very heavy. Obtain sufficient help to carefully lift
or move the bath.
CAUTION: Risk of personal injury. This product includes an anti-scald valve which requires
on-site installation. This anti-scald valve must be installed and adjusted according to the
instructions included to protect the bath user from scalding injury.
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Do not support the bath by the rim.
IMPORTANT! Do not lift the bath by the faucet, fittings, or drain. Lift only by the metal frame.
IMPORTANT! Do not damage the leveling feet by dragging or sliding the bath across the floor.
IMPORTANT! To prevent product damage while moving the bath, make sure the leveling feet are fully
extended to raise the bottom of the bath apron off the floor. Use a 1/4" hex wrench to fully extend the
leveling feet, if necessary.
Measure the overall product dimensions as well as the alcove opening.
Mark a cut line on the front bath apron, if needed.
Carefully clamp a strip of plywood behind the apron at the marked location to reinforce the apron
and prevent damage to the apron during cutting.
Use a circular saw with a masonry blade to trim the reinforced front bath apron so it will fit into the
alcove.
NOTE: The handshower should be installed in the outside bath rim hole.
Install the drain, valve, anti-scald valve, faucet trim, and handshower to the bath according to the
installation instructions included in the boxes containing these products. Use the pre-drilled bath
rim holes for the valve, trim, and handshower.
