Carefully inspect the
existing stud framing, subfloor,
water supply, and drain lines.
2. Prepare an Existing Site
NOTICE: Measure your product for site preparation. Note the model number located on the back of the
bath, then visit the product page at www.kohlerwalkinbath.com for additional information.
Remove existing tile from the alcove walls as needed to remove the old bath.
Remove the old bath from the alcove.
Carefully inspect the stud framing, subfloor, and the water supply and drain lines.
Make sure the flooring offers adequate support for your bath. Verify the subfloor is flat and level.
Refer to the specification sheet on www.kohlerwalkinbath.com, and repair or replace the stud
framing and subfloor, as needed.
This bath is designed for below-the-floor drain installation. For below-the-floor drain installations
which will drain to the opposite wall, measure and cut a channel in the subfloor to accommodate
the drain pipe and fittings. Refer to the specification sheet.
Measure and cut the drain hole in the subfloor. Install the drain pipe.
IMPORTANT! Reverse the water supply lines if the pipes will be routed from the opposite wall.
Repair and reroute the water supplies as needed for the new bath.
Cap the water supplies, and check for leaks.
