System Descriptions

General Description

The Galaxy System is an automated test system for multiple instrument
types, currently including:
Solaris
Datalogging Multigas Detector
®
Sirius
Multigas Detector
®
Orion
Datalogging Multigas Detector (pumped version)
®
Altair
Single-gas Detector family
®
ORIONplus Datalogging Multigas Detector
ALTAIR 4 Datalogging Multigas Detector
ALTAIR 5 Datalogging Multigas Detector
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The Altair Single-gas Detector version of the Galaxy Test System is
shipped with a small piece of tubing on the gas outlet of the test
system. This tubing is needed for the calibration of the H 2 S and
CO versions of the Altair Single-gas Detector. For calibration of the
O 2 Altair Single-gas Detector or any version of the Altair Pro
single-gas Detector, this tube must be removed.

Galaxy System Features

Automatically identifies an instrument
Verifies the instrument calibration settings
Bump Tests and/or calibrates the instrument
Stores last calibration data for future retrieval and safety records
Maintains limited instrument serial number records.

Optional Features

Internal Memory Card or Network Interface
• Maintains full records and includes print record capability
• Updates instrument date and time
Instrument Charging Capability
• Changes instrument after calibration or Bump test
• Fully charges the Solaris or ALTAIR 4 instrument in four hours
• Fully charges the Sirius instrument in five hours
• Fully charges the Altair 5 instrument in six hours.
