Building instructions
It is important to secure all control surface horns using the appropriate screws. If the
retaining screws are overlength, cut off the excess material. You will need to open up
the outermost hole in the servo output arms to match the diameter of the pushrods; use
the correct size of drill, a pointed-tip knife or a round file for this.
We recommend using a servo tester or your RC system transmitter to set all the servos
to centre. Adjust the pushrod lengths so that the ailerons are exactly at neutral at this
setting. The Sidewinder rocket mounting parts can be installed in the position shown
using Devcon (5-minute epoxy).
Glue the mounting plates to the wings and the supplementary fueltanks using Devcon.
The type and position of the mounting plates vary according to the shape of the locating
tabs; the fittings themselves differ in shape. The dummy parts can finally be fixed to the
model using the retaining screws provided.
Attach the horns to the elevators using the procedure described for the ailerons.
The two moulded shells which produce the front section of the fuselage and the nose
itself should be glued in place using UHU-Por. Check that the joint surfaces meet
accurately, and use plenty of adhesive (read the instructions provided with the glue).
