We strongly recommend that you carry out a range check with the motor running before
you fly your new aeroplane.
For best performance in the air we advise you to remove all screwed external fittings
such as centre tank, tip-tanks and bombs, as this measure reduces all-up weight as well
as improving the aircraft's aerodynamics and top speed. Naturally, the model is fully
airworthy with all the fittings in place, but you must expect and accept a reduction in
performance.
We have flown the GF-18C HORNET in all conditions equipped with the recommended
components, and set up exactly as described, and have encountered no technical
problems of any kind. However, the undercarriage is highly stressed, and we
recommend that you examine the system at regular intervals.
Do not attempt to fly this model unless you are a pilot with above-average flying
skill and experience.
When dry cells, rechargeable batteries, servos, speed controllers and other electronic
components reach the end of their useful life, you must not dispose of them in the
ordinary household waste. Take exhausted batteries back to your model shop, or to your
local toxic waste collection centre.
All of us in the Graupner Team hope you thoroughly enjoy building and flying your GF-
18C HORNET.
Yours - the Graupner team
