Frying
The round frying pan is used to fry food,
such as meat and fish dishes. The
temperature setting depends on the
ingredients that you wish to fry. In general,
you should select the maximum
temperature for meat and fish. Small
pieces will cook more quickly and will be
better cooked than large pieces.
1 Place the ingredients in the frying pan
once the appliance reaches the desired
temperature (the temperature indicator
light will go out).
2 Use a wooden or (heat-resistant) plastic
spatula to turn the food over.
TIP: only turn meat and fish over once.
This will prevent it from drying out.
3 Use the clamping handle if you wish to
remove the warm frying pan from the
appliance
Cooking pancakes
The cake pan for 'Dutch poffertjes' (see
'Cooking tips') is used to quickly cook
delicious pancakes.
1 Select the highest temperature and
allow the pan to become hot.
2 Use a small amount of oil or fat.
3 Place a layer of pancake batter in the
holes of the pan and allow the
pancakes to cook until the top just
becomes dry.
4 Use a fork to turn the pancakes over.
Do not touch the pan with the fork,
because this may damage the non-stick
coating.
Fondue
The temperature-control dial makes the
fondue pot suitable for different types of
fondue, such as the classic meat fondue,
but also a cheese fondue, a chocolate
fondue or a Chinese fondue with stock
(also see 'Cooking tips').
1 Fill the pot with the correct ingredients
and place it on the heating base. Make
sure the pan is filled past the minimum
level but not above the maximum level.

2 Select the correct temperature so that
the mixture just starts to boil. For a
classic meat fondue (with oil or fat), this
is generally the maximum temperature.
A lower temperature (e.g. 'Medium')
can be selected for a cheese, stock or
chocolate fondue. Cheese and
chocolate, in particular, should be
heated slowly.
3 Occasionally stir the ingredients to
create a smooth mixture.
4 Use the fondue forks to remove the
ingredients from the pan.
Only use the forks to prick the food. Do
not prick the pan with them. This may
damage the pan.
Wok
Wok cooking or stir-frying is done quickly
at a high temperature.
1 Set the temperature-control dial to
'Maximum'.
2 Use a small amount of oil or fat.
3 Carefully place the ingredients in the
wok once it has reached the desired
temperature.
4 Use a wooden or (heat-resistant) plastic
spatula to stir the ingredients.
Making sauces
The sauce pan can be used to make
delicious sauces or soup and to keep them
warm.
Keeping warm
In principle, every type of pan or heat-
resistant dish can be placed on the heating
base to keep sauces and food warm. To do
so, set the temperature-control dial to
'Low'.
Pan frying
The five small frying pans can be used so
that everybody can cook their own dish
whilst sitting together at the dining table.
Place the pans on the round frying pan and
use them to cook the dish of your choice
(also see 'Cooking tips').
