Phase unbalance (for threephase motors only)
Check the power draw on each phase. Unbalances should not exceed 5%.
Higher values could be caused by the motor and/or the electricity main. Check the power draw in the other two
motor-main combinations, making sure that the same rotation direction is maintained.
The optimum connection is that with the least difference in power draw between the phases. Note that if the
higher power draw is always on the same line phase, the main cause of unbalance will be due to the power
main.

Use and management:
6.1 Starting:
If the starting unit is unable to start (no "take-off"), do not insist as this could only damage the component. Identify the malfunction and repair.
If an indirect starting system is used, the starting transient must be brief and must never last more than a few seconds.
General prescriptions for the use of the INVERTER
- During commissioning and/or use, the minimum frequency must not be lower than 30 Hz, with a steady voltage to frequency ratio
- Maximum acceleration ramp time - 3 seconds
- Maximum deceleration time equal to twice the maximum acceleration time.
- Maximum inverter switching frequency ≤5kHz
Ensure the following operating conditions:
750
Voltage gradient
Conditions that must be met regardless of the length of the power cables.
General prescriptions for the use of the SOFT STARTER:
- The SOFT STARTER device must carry out a voltage ramp starting or a constant current starting
- The SOFT STARTER device must not carry out a current ramp starting or a torque ramp starting
- Minimum peak current Vs = 60% Vn
- Minimum peak current Is = 400% In
- Maximum acceleration ramp time - 3 seconds
- Maximum deceleration time equal to twice the maximum acceleration time
- Deceleration method either by freewheel or by voltage ramp, not by braking
- Always make sure that the soft-starter is off once the assembly start phase has completed.
In case of malfunctioning of a system featuring a soft starter of inverter start, verify, if possible, the operation of the electric pump
assembly by connecting it directly to the grid (or with another device).
6.2 Running and inspections:
ATTENTION
Once installed, the electric pump will require no particular maintenance. To ensure continuously regular operation it is, however,
necessary to periodically check that the pump hydraulics are not clogged by solids and/or thready substances in the pumped liquid.
Also conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections at least once every 5000-10000 hours service, according to whether duty
is more or less heavy. Check the following:
- the electrical insulation of the motor-power cable complex (consult the "Electrical connections and information" paragraph);
- the condition of the oil (consult the "Maintenance" paragraph);
- the condition of the hydraulic components (consult the "Maintenance" paragraph).
It is also advisable to check the efficiency of the electric panel (when installed) every 6-12 months. If operative faults are detected, identify their
causes and proceed with repairs, as indicated in this manual.
6.3
Maintenance:
Routine maintenance and repairs must be carried out by specialized technicians possessing adequate qualifications and equipped with
the right tools. These technicians must have become fully familiar with the contents of this manual and with any other documentation
supplied with the product.
Extraordinary maintenance must only be carried out by authorized specialized workshops.
Proceed in the following way if work is carried out in accumulation tanks where toxic gas may develop:
- ensure efficient ventilation to eliminate the toxic gas and ensure an adequate supply of oxygen;
- check that the means of descent and ascent are efficient;
- never work without a safety harness or on your own. Always make sure you are assisted by a second worker outside, who is able to
promptly act and in safety.
ATTENTION
Use a thread locking product of the LOCTITE 242 type or similar if the impeller screw is remounted.
Pump feeding cable replacement must be done utilising original spares only; cable is foreseen for connection type M to EN 60335-1
(CEI 61-50) regulations.
If the oil needs changing, use AGIP ARNICA 32 oil or equivalent, or ESSO MARCOL 82 or equivalent. Strictly comply with the quantities given in the
"Dimensions, weights and technical data" paragraph.
Only ever use genuine Caprari spare parts. Failure to do this could void the guarantee and would relieve the manufacturer of all responsibility in
merit.
Specify the following information when ordering spare parts from Caprari S.p.A. or from one of their Authorized After- Sales Centers:
1 - the complete code of the product;
2 - the date code and/or serial number and/or job number when pertinent;
3 - the denomination and reference number of the part as indicated in the spares catalogue (available from authorized after-sales centers) or shown
in the typical sections in this manual;
4 - the required number of parts.
