Every time you will use your bicycle, check carefully that the quick
release levers are on the position CLOSE (with the lever in closed
position, on the front side of the quick release the mark CLOSE
must be present) (Pic.6).
ATTENTION: Please ensure the quick release lever is closed cor-
rectly and in the correct position. Failure to do so could lead to
wheel failure and resulting serious or fatal accident.
All the positions different from the closed position have to be con-
sidered extremely dangerous.

For the correct closing of the quick release:
• Starting from the opened position of the lever, making the nut
contact with the fork manually
• Bringing the lever from the opened position to the closed only
with the hand power (Pic.7)-
• Turn manually with your fingers the quick release nut until its sits
against the cycle dropout, ensuring the quick release lever is sitting
in the "open position" (Pic. 7)
• Don't use any tools (ex: tubes, extensions, ...); the closing stress
has to be felt in the passage from the opened to the closed po-
sition (Pic.7).
• You never have to use the quick release lever as a nut to close the
quick release, because it will injury the quick release (Pic.8).
ATTENTION, turning the quick release lever to tighten the quick
release could result in damage to the quick release and cycle frame
dropout, which could lead to wheel failure and resulting serious or
fatal accident.

Please ensure you clean the Miche quick release whenever you
use your Miche wheels in the rain, or after any extend periods of
non use. We recommend this is carried out as a minimum every
30 days.

Attention
When fitting tubular tyres to the SWR FULL CARBON
please ensure the tubular tyre minimum tyre width is
23mm.
What you will need
• Tubular glue of your choice. Do not use aggresive adhesive be-
cause it has the effect of softening the base tape glue of many
of today's tires. The aggressive glue is prone to damage tires on
removals.
• Solvent such as alcohol or acetone. Solvents are available in
hardware or paint stores. They works very well for removing most
glue.
Stretch the tire
• The first very important step. Always pre-stretch any tubular (in-
cluding your spare tire!) to save a lot of work later. You will not need
glue for this step.
• If you are using a valve extender, install it at this time. (See notes
on how to do this if you have any questions.)
• Stand the wheel on the edge so that the wheel is on the ground
and can lean against the front of your legs. Your feet should be
about shoulder width apart. The valve hole of the rim should be at
the top of the wheel nearest your waist.
• Insert the valve into the valve hole.
• Bend over and using both hands begin stretching the tire onto
the rim working down and away from the valve. Maintain a very
firm even pressure as you work your way down from the top of
the wheel. Even pressure will ensure the valve does not twist in the
rim. Try to keep tire centered on the rim. The further you stretch the
tire at this point, the easier it will be to roll the last bit onto the rim.
As you reach the last few inches, lift the rim up until it is horizontal.
Rest the edge of the rim against your stomach or upper thigh. The
area of the valve hole will now be against your stomach or thigh
with the as yet un-mounted portion of tire furthest away from you.
Maintaining the pressure, roll the last bit of the tire onto the rim
using your thumbs. Pinch the tire slightly together and "lift" the tire
over the edge of the rim. Do not use a tool to pry the last portion
over the edge of the rim. If you can't get the tire to go on the rim,
start over with more pressure at the beginning of the process. After
installation, blow up the tire to 130 - 140 psi and leave it unglued
on the rim for a few hours, or overnight
After stretching, prepare the tire for gluing
• The base tape (usually cotton) of many tubular tires will have a
coating of latex. This must be roughened slightly to ensure a good
glue bond. Continental or any tire that has no coating on the tape.
• Remove the tire from the rim used in the stretching procedure
outlined above.
• Roughen the latex coating using a file or similar item. You may
also use emery cloth wetted in alcohol or a similar solvent. Be ca-
reful, too much solvent may dissolve the glue holding on the base
tape.
Prepare the rim for glue
• If the rim is new, wipe it down with alcohol or other solvent listed
