17.4.4 Hands and body position

Never place hands within the "NO HANDS ZONE" (at least
140mm away from each side of the blade). Pictograms on the
machines rotary table are provided as an aid to safe working
practices.
Keep hands away from the path of the blade. Hold the
workpiece firmly to the fence to prevent any movement. Use a
"Hold down Clamp" if possible but check that it is positioned
that it does not interfere with the path of the blade or other
moving machine parts.
Always the saw to do the cutting; never force the saw as this could result in
damage to the saw and / or injury to the operator or those in the area.
18 MAINTENANCE
Danger due to electrical voltage! Handling at the machine with upright power
supply can lead to serious injuries or death. Always disconnect the machine from the
power supply before cleaning, servicing or maintenance work and secure it against
unintentional reconnection!
The machine is low-maintenance and only a few parts have to be serviced. Nevertheless,
malfunctions or defects which could impair the safety of the user must be rectified immediately!
Clean your machine regularly after every usage – it prolongs the machines lifespan and
is a pre-requisite for a safe working environment.
Repair jobs shall be performed by respectively trained professionals only!
Check regularly the condition of the security stickers. Replace them if required.
Check regularly the condition of the machine.
Store the machine in a closed, dry location.
Before first operation as well as later on every 100 operation hours you should lubricate all con-
necting parts (if required, remove beforehand with a brush all swarfs and dust).
The good condition and perfect adjustment of the guiding rollers is essential for a smooth band
guidance and a clean cut.

18.1 Maintenance plan

After each workshift:
 Apply a thin layer of oil on sliding parts
 Remove dust and wood chips from the device
