film over the central screw-hole in the tailplane, and screw the panel to the fuselage
using the plastic spreader plate and M4 plastic screw provided. Position the elevator
horn carefully as described for the rudder, and drill a blind hole for the spigot. Shorten
the horn spigot and glue the horn in the hole in the elevator. Bend the end of the
steel elevator pushrod at right-angles, and slide it into the elevator snake outer
sleeve. Slip the plain end through the swivel pushrod connector mounted on the
elevator servo, and connect the angled end to the elevator horn. Switch the radio
control system on, and set the servo to neutral. Hold the elevator at centre, then
tighten the grubscrew in the swivel pushrod connector. Secure the grubscrew with a
drop of thread-lock fluid, and snip off the excess pushrod length.
Motor
Use a file or a miniature electric drill to open up the cooling ducts moulded into the
fuselage. Drill 3.2 mm Ø holes in the nose bulkhead, positioned at 45° to the vertical
(see drawing), and spaced 19.5 mm apart. Countersink the holes at the front, and
attach the electric motor to the bulkhead using the screws supplied with it.

Canopy
Bend the canopy retainer wire to the shape shown in the drawing.
Sand the inside of the canopy moulding at the position of the double bend in the wire.
Position the wire retainer inside the canopy with the front end (towards the motor)
projecting beyond the canopy by about 5 mm. Tack the wire retainer to the canopy
using cyano, then secure the joint with UHU plus and strips of woven glass tape,
Order No. 112.40, positioned over the double bend.
Propeller
Assemble the folding propeller as shown in the sketch supplied in the pack, and slip it
onto the motor shaft. Position the spinner backplate about 1 - 1.5 mm from the
fuselage nose, and tighten it onto the motor shaft using an 11 mm A/F open-ended
spanner. Place the spinner cap over the propeller hub, and secure it with the central
M2 screw supplied with the spinner.
Secure all screwed joints with UHU schraubensicher (thread-lock fluid).
