ACQUIRING DETECTION DEVICES
Warning: acquiring the devices is a gradual operation; therefore, if you want that the devices are paired
to the outputs according to a certain order, you have to consider that acquiring sequence is affected by
the fact that the devices are acquired gradually.
To make radio module MR16 acquire one or more micro contacts or IR detectors:
1. Set radio module MR16 to acquisition mode in following way:
a. Set DIP switches A1 and A2 to ON.
b. Press once control pushbutton on radio module MR16 Radio module sends out 3 beeps and LED A
(IN) (green), indicating that you entered detection devices acquisition mode, and status LEDs 1÷16
(red), of the inputs to which a number of devices are already paired, go on steady.
c. Keep pressed for 3 seconds control pushbutton on radio module MR16. Radio module sends out 3
beeps and LED A (IN) blinks once to indicate that detection devices can be acquired.
2. Press the programming key of either micro contact or IR detector. The first of status LEDs 1÷16 that is free
goes on and radio module MR16 sends out 2 beeps for confirmation. If radio module MR16 sends out one
two-tone beep, it means that the limit was reached of devices that can be acquired and that no more devices
can be added.
3. Repeat from point 2 to acquire more detection devices, or reset both DIP switches A1 and A2 of radio
module MR16 to OFF to quit acquisition mode (radio module MR16 sends out one two-tone beep). Radio
module MR16 automatically quits acquisition mode if no operations are performed for 3 minutes.
Note: the ninth detector device is associated with output 1 together with the first detector device . The tenth
detector device is associated with output 2 together with the second detector device and so on until the
sixteenth .
ACQUIRING ACTUATION DEVICES (SIRENS)
Warning: before acquiring the sirens, at least one more device has to be acquired.
To make radio module MR16 acquire one or more sirens:
1. Set radio module MR16 to acquisition mode as follows:
a. Set both DIP switches A1 and A2 to ON.
b. Press twice control pushbutton on radio module MR16. Radio module sends out 3 beeps and LED B
(OUT), goes on steady, indicating that you entered actuation devices acquisition mode.
c. Keep pressed for 3 seconds control pushbutton on radio module MR16. Radio module sends out 3
beeps and LED B (OUT) blinks once to indicate that actuation devices can be acquired.
2. Set DIP switch 1 of sirens to ON to enable learning mode. The sirens can be acquired all together.
3. Press control pushbutton on radio module MR16 to send the code. If the code is received, the siren
sends out 1 beep (in siren HP500, LEDs 1 and 3 blink too). Then radio module sends out 2 beeps and
zone LEDs flash, indicating that the sirens were acquired. If radio module sends out one beep only, it
means that the siren had already been acquired. Should radio module not send out any beeps, repeat
point 3.
4. Set both DIP switches 1 and 2 of radio module MR16 to OFF to quit acquisition mode (radio module
MR16 sends out one two-tone beep). Radio module MR16 automatically quits acquisition mode if no
operations are performed for 3 minutes.
