4. Receiving Faxes

Using AUTO Mode

RECEPTION
MODE
When the reception mode is set to AUTO, the fax machine will
automatically answer all calls on one ring and receive incoming faxes.

♦ If you pick up an extension phone connected to the Color MFP
before the Color MFP answers, you can talk to the other party and/
or receive a document as explained in Using MANUAL mode on
page 83.
Note: It may not be possible to receive some halftone faxes or faxes
that contain intricate graphics or photographs due to insufficient
machine memory.
To select AUTO mode,
press the RECEPTION
MODE key until the
arrow in the display
points to AUTO.
