3.3.2 Relative Contraindications
The following conditions require consultation with a physician: skin diseases/injuries, inflamma­
tion, raised scars with swelling, reddening, and warming in the area where the support is fitted,
tumors, lymphatic congestion – including unclear soft tissue swelling distal to the support, and
dysesthesia in the trunk.
3.4 Mechanism of Action
The brace straightens the spine in the sagittal plane and stabilizes it. Through the back support,
the sternal support, and the symphysis support, the three-point principle causes lordosing, reliev­
ing in this way the anterior vertebral bodies.
3.5 Restrictions for use
The product is designed exclusively for fitting on one patient.
Parts that are shaped, and parts that come directly into contact with the skin, could cause func­
tional or hygienic risks if the product is used on another person:
• when cracks in the material form that cannot be visually detected if paint is undamaged
• in the case of material fatigue due to alternating loads
• through a decrease in elongation at break (cold fixing) in the case of multiple cold forming
Reuse of the product on other persons is not permitted.
The daily duration of use and application is based on the medical indication.

5 Selecting the Size
1) Measure the waist circumference approx. 2 cm above the iliac crest.
2) Determine the brace size (see size chart).
