Cause
Wrong distance or angle.
Direct sunlight or lighting (from an
inverter type of fluorescent lamp, strobe
light, etc.) is striking the remote control
sensor of this unit.
The batteries are weak.
The remote control ID of the remote
control and this unit do not match.
The remote control code is not correctly
set.
Even if the remote control code is
correctly set, there are some models that
do not respond to the remote control.
Cause
This unit is in the middle of recognizing
the connection with your iPod.
This unit is in the middle of acquiring
song lists from your iPod.
There is a problem with the signal path
from your iPod to this unit.
The iPod being used is not supported by
this unit.
Your iPod is properly placed in the
Yamaha iPod universal dock.
Remedy
The remote control will function within a maximum
range of 6 m (20 ft) and no more than 30 degrees
offaxis from the front panel.
Adjust the lighting angle or reposition this unit.
Replace all batteries.
Match the remote control ID of this unit and the
remote control.
Set the remote control code correctly using "List of
remote control codes" at the end of this manual.
Try setting another code of the same manufacturer
using "List of remote control codes" at the end of this
manual.
If this unit does not work when you press jCursor,
do the following.
When the key does not work during DVD disc menu
operation: press the dInput selection keys on
the remote control again.
When the key does not work during Option menu or
Setup menu operation: press the key applicable for
the current menu operation again.
Remedy
Turn off this unit and reconnect the Yamaha iPod
universal dock to the DOCK terminal of this unit.
Remove your iPod in the Yamaha iPod universal dock
and then place it back in the dock.
Use an iPod supported by this unit.
