Installation instructions

The installation and repair of the appliance is only to be
carried out by an expert. Read the installation instructions
carefully prior to starting work and observe the instructions!
Non-compliance with installation instructions or
incorrect installation can result in endangerment
of persons and property.

Intended use

This device was designed for indoor installation in caravans
and motor homes. Other forms of use are also possible after
consultation with Truma.

Regulations

Guarantee claims, warranty claims and acceptance of liability
will be ruled out in the event of the following:
– modifications to the unit (including accessories),
– changes to the exhaust air / exhaust gas system,
– failure to use original Truma parts as replacement parts
and accessories,
– failure to follow the installation and operating instructions.
It also becomes illegal to use the appliance, and in some
countries this even makes it illegal to use the vehicle.

Choice of location

The device must always be installed so that it is easy to ac-
cess at all times for service work, and also easy to remove and
install. Provide space for retrofitting accessories if necessary.
The temperature in the installation room must be higher
than 3 °C during operation so that the drain value in the
FrostControl remains closed.
The installation position of the device is horizontal.
In installation situations where space is restricted, the
length of the connector cable (battery and control panel
cable, measuring line, extractor fan connection) must be long
enough for the system to be pulled out with the cables at-
tached and the cover opened (unscrew gas supply line
beforehand).
The scope of delivery includes a second type plate (duplicate)
with removable bar code.
If the type plate on the heater is not visible after the heater has
been installed, the second type plate (duplicate) must be af-
fixed to the unit in a clearly visible location.
The duplicate must only be used in conjunction with the
original.

The exhaust air / exhaust gas outlet must be positioned such
that exhaust gas cannot be drawn into the interior.
The exhaust air / exhaust gas outlet must be attached such
that there is no fuel tank filler neck or fuel tank breather open-
ing within 500 mm (R). In addition, no air discharge apertures
for the living area or window openings may be located with
300 mm of it.

If installing the exhaust air / exhaust gas outlet directly
underneath a window that will be opened, installa-
tion of an electric window switch (part no. 34000-85800) is
mandatory.
