• Attach plug-in terminals (Fig. 4.6)
• Surface-mounted installation (Fig. 4.7)
• Screw-fit sensor and load module
(Fig. 4.8)
5. Electrical installation /
Automatic mode
For wiring up the motion detector, the
following applies: Under section 6 of
VDE 0100 520, a multiple-core lead con-
taining both the mains voltage leads and
the control leads (e.g. NYM 5 x 1.5) may
be used for the wiring between sensor
and LiveLink box. The lead between
LiveLink box and sensor must be
no longer than 300 m (for 1.5 mm²)
(Fig. 5.1). After installing and switch-
ing on, the LiveLink box takes approx.
45 seconds to start. The sensor then
starts to flash once a second during the
initialisation cycle (see safety advice on
page 11).
6. Functions / Basic function
Once you have connected the unit,
closed the housing and fitted the lens,
you are ready to put the system into
operation.
Important: Only select time and twilight
setting with the lens in place. The
settings are made by means of the Live-
Link-Box by app. (Fig. 6.4). The sensor
is connected to the LiveLink box as a
control unit by means of a DALI bus. The
sensor uses the DALI line for commu-
nicating with the LiveLink box and for
power. The LiveLink sensors only work in
the LiveLink system.

• The detection zone setting can be
optimised to suit requirements. The
shroud provided can be used for
masking out any number of lens
segments to shorten reach as required
(Fig. 6.3)
To install the shroud, the
sensor module must be
!
disconnected from the load
module.

8. Operation / Maintenance
The infrared sensor can be used for
switching light ON and OFF automati-
cally. The unit is not suitable for burglar
alarm systems as it is not tamperproof in
the manner prescribed for such systems.
High temperatures may affect the way
the motion detector works. The detector
lens may be cleaned with a damp cloth if
it gets dirty (do not use cleaning agents).
, no SELV
9. Troubleshooting
Light does not switch ON
• LiveLink box faulty
– Replace LiveLink box
• Lux setting too low
– Slowly increase lux setting until light
switches ON
• No movement detection
– Ensure unobstructed sensor vision
– Check detection zone
Lights do not switch OFF
• Lux setting too high
– Reduce lux setting
• Stay-ON time running out
– Wait until stay-ON time elapses;
reduce stay-ON time if necessary
• Interfering heat sources: e.g. fan
heater, open doors and windows,
pets, light bulb / halogen floodlight,
moving objects
– Use stickers to mask out stationary
sources of interference
