Operation
Caution, Fire hazard! Keep a safe distance to flammable objects. The temperature
at the hot air outlet is very high.
Warning, risk of burns! Never touch the hot surfaces of the soldering iron. Even after
you have switched off the product, its surfaces remain very hot for some time! Allow
the product to cool before it is stored away.
The supplied stand may have sharp edges due to production factors. So watch for
sharp edges and wear protective gloves when you bend the stand.
• Working on a level, stable, clean, and heat-resistant surface.
• Prepare the stand (14) as a safe place to place down the soldering iron. Bend the stand to
allow you to place down the soldering iron in a safe position. Place the soldering iron with the
safety ring (9) into the opening so that the soldering iron cannot fall.
• Select a nozzle (11, 12, 13) that suits the size of the component you wish to work on and
fasten the nozzle to the hot air outlet (10). Place the soldering iron safely on the stand.
• Plug in the mains plug (7) to a suitable power socket.
• Select the proper solder for the job at hand.
• Set the on/off switch – / O (5) to – to switch on the device. Immediately after turning on, the
heating element begins to heat up and the blower runs. The pre-set temperature (300 °C) is
shown in the LC display (6). The blower levels (1, 2, 3) are displayed as
• Press the + (3) or – (4) button to set the desired temperature. The temperature range may be
set from 200 to 500 ºC in 10 ºC intervals. A high temperature is reached within a short time.
The heating time is approx. 25 seconds to 200 °C and 80 seconds to 500 °C. Determine
whether the temperature is high enough for working by checking both solder and flux.
