Intended use
The product is used for soldering and desoldering SMD and micro components, as well as for
warming up plastics and metal parts, for scraping off labels, etc. The temperature and the air
flow are adjustable. Working with hot air enables safe working without contact with the work
piece.
It is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g. in
bathrooms, must be avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the
product for purposes other than those described above may damage the product. In addition,
improper use can cause hazards such as short circuits, fire and electric shocks. Read the
instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. Make this product available to third parties
only together with its operating instructions.

Safety information
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on
proper handling in this manual, we assume no liability for any resulting
personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/
guarantee.
• This appliance may be used by children over 8 years
of age and people with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning the safe use of the appliance
and understand the hazards involved. Children may not
clean or repair the product unless they are supervised.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the device.
• WARNING! When not in use, place the tool on the
supplied stand.
• Allow the product to sufficiently cool down on the
supplied stand after use and before it is stored away.
• Exercise caution when using the product in the
proximity of flammable materials! Never use the
product at the same place over a longer period of time.
• Please note that excessive heat can be directed to
flammable materials that are outside of the field of
view. This constitutes a fire hazard!
• Do not use the product in an explosive atmosphere or
in an environment with explosive substances.
• Never use the product if the mains cable is damaged.
• To prevent risks, damaged mains cables may only be
replaced by the manufacturer, a professional shop
appointed by the manufacturer or a similarly qualified
person.
• This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become
dangerous playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high
humidity, moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, stop using it and prevent
unauthorized use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stress.
• Always handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height
may damage the product.
• Before connecting the product to the mains, check that your local A/C mains
voltage matches the specifications on the nameplate.
• The mains socket must be located near to the device and be easily accessible.
• Never pull the mains plug from the socket by pulling at the cable. Always pull it
from the mains socket using the intended grips.
• Always disconnect the power plug from the mains socket, if the device is not going
to be used for a while.
• For safety reasons, unplug the mains plug from the mains socket during a
thunderstorm.
• Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges
or put under mechanical stress. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable
from extreme heat or cold. Do not modify the mains cable. Otherwise the mains
cable may be damaged. A damaged mains cable can cause a fatal electric shock.
• Do not touch the mains cable if it is damaged. First, power down the respective
mains socket (e.g. via the respective circuit breaker) and then carefully pull the
mains plug from the mains socket. Never use the product if the mains cable is
damaged.
• Never plug in or unplug the mains plug when your hands are wet.
• Never pour any liquids over electrical devices or place objects filled with liquid
next to the product. If liquid or an object does enter the interior of the device,
power down the respective socket (e.g. switch off circuit breaker), and then pull
the mains plug from the mains socket. Discontinue use and take the product to a
specialist repair centre.
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into
a warm one. The condensation generated could destroy the product. Furthermore,
this could cause a lethal electric shock! Allow the product to reach room
temperature before connecting it to an appliance. This may take several hours.
• Caution: Hot! Burn hazard! Do not touch the hot air outlet, the nozzle insert or the
area in front of the hot air outlet when the device is in operation or if the device has
not completely cooled down.
• Do not point the product at people or animals.
• Before you attach or remove the nozzle insert, make sure that the hot air outlet
and the nozzle insert have cooled down sufficiently.
• Never cover the hot air outlet and do not insert any objects into the openings.
• Keep oil and gaseous substances away from the product.
• Caution! Do not inhale fumes. Vapours are harmful to health. Work only with a
fume hood.
• Wear suitable protective clothing, goggles, gloves and footwear to shied yourself
against spattering soldering material and emitted heat.
• Do not work on live parts.
• Use only the accessory parts included in the scope of delivery.
• Always let the product cool down to room temperature after use.
• Do not immerse the product in water or other liquids. This may result in an
electrical shock!
• Always comply with the accident prevention regulations for electrical equipment
when using the product in industrial facilities.
