REFILL OF THE TANK
o
Thanks to the self-filling function, there is no need to stop ironing and wait while the
boiler fills up again.
o
When the water level reaches a low level, or is empty, the pump provides a loud
sound to indicate refilling. Fill the tank at once, taking care not to exceed the "max"
level line.
o
Push the water tank back into position until it "clicks" into place.
o
The steam generator and the iron are ready for use when both indicator lights go out.
AFTER USE
o
Switch off and unplug the steam generator iron.
o
Place the iron on its base unit: the rubber pads and the retaining rib located on the
rear end of the rest will prevent the iron from falling accidentally.
o
Empty the water tank (14) to minimise scaling deposit inside the appliance. It is not
necessary to drain the boiler after each ironing.
o
Store the power cord/supply hose at the base of the appli-
ance in the storage groove (10) and the power cord in its
compartment (12).
NOTE: The rubber pads and the rib do not lock the iron onto its base. Therefore,
caution should be taken if the appliance must be carried to another location.
DESCALING THE BOILER
To extend the life of the steam generator iron and avoid scale on your ironing, clean the boiler
every 10/20 uses, depending on the hardness of your tap water.
o
Disconnect the appliance from the mains and let it cool down for at least 2 hours.
o
Do not open the cleaning valve when the appliance stands flat, oth-
erwise the water will flow out, but tilt it to its side over a sink.
o
Open the cleaning valve (11) by rotating it counterclockwise (Fig.5)
to empty the boiler.
CAUTION! Never attempt to open the cleaning valve (11)while the boiler is under pres-
sure.
o Mix a little white vinegar and warm water in a jug or use a diluted descaling solution.
Pour it carefully into the boiler. Screw the cleaning valve and shake the base gently to
