After unpacking, check the appliance for damage. In case of any doubt, do not use
the steam generator iron and contact a qualified technician.
o
Remove any labels, stickers and packaging from the steam generator iron and the
soleplate.
o
Unwind and straighten the power/steam supply cord.
o
Fill the tank with ordinary tap water,
the power cord. Iron an old piece of cotton fabric to clean the soleplate.
NOTE: In hard water areas, we advise to mix tap water with distilled/demineralised water.
Do not put hot water, perfume, vinegar, starch, descaling agents, ironing aids or other chem-
icals in the tank. These contain organic waste or mineral elements that become concen-
trated when heated and may cause spitting, brown staining or premature wear to the steam
generator. The use of any unsuited types of water/fluids will void the manufacturer's war-
ranty.
Always check first the label on the garment for the international textile care labelling code:
HOT iron (three dots). Steam ironing allowed.
WARM iron (two dots). Steam ironing allowed.
COOL iron (one dot). Steam ironing may be a risk.
Do not iron.
Steaming and steam treatments are not recommended.
 USING THE STEAM GENERATOR IRON

Remove the water tank (Fig. 1) and fill it up to or below the "MAX"
mark (Fig. 2).
o
Gently push the water tank (base first) back into its housing, until it
locks into place.
o
Plug the appliance into an earthed socket.
o
Press the On/Off button (7). The power indicator (6) and steam in-
dicator light (8) are on, to show that the boiler start running.
o
Select the temperature to suit the garment by turning the knob (4),
as shown in Fig. 3.
o
After around 3 minutes, the steam control light (8) goes out to indi-
cate that the steam generator is ready for use.
