To obtain steam, press the steam button (3) under the iron handle. The steam will
stop when the button is released.
o
After ironing, set the iron on the base unit and press the On/Off switch (7) to turn off
the appliance. Press the steam button (3) to release the residual steam in the boiler
(13).
o
Unplug the appliance and let it cool down.
NOTE: During continuous steaming, the pump will inject water regularly from the
tank into the boiler. As it happens, the soleplate will stop releasing steam for a short
while.
DRY IRONING
o
Plug the appliance into an earthed socket and press the On/Off button (7).
o
Select the desired setting using the temperature control knob (4). Wait until the heat-
ing indicator light (2) goes off, signaling that the desired temperature has been
reached.
o
For dry ironing, it is not necessary to press the steam button (3).
VERTICAL IRONING
You can use a strong jet of steam to refresh garments easily, or to remove creases from
clothes, curtains, furnishing fabrics etc.
o
Set the temperature control knob to its maximum position.
o
Hang the garment on a coat hanger and hold it slightly taut with one hand.
o
Hold the iron in a vertical position 2 or 3 cm away from the item. Press repeatedly on
the steam button, moving the iron gently up and down over the item.
NOTE: The steam is very hot. Do not attempt to remove creases from a garment
that is being worn! Hold the iron a few centimetres away from fabrics other than
linen or cotton, to avoid damaging them.
