2. Car-top board / extension board
The car top board allows all car information to be managed and communicated to the mother board by CAN.
It centralises the position sensor, door controls, cell, etc.
A less equipped version is used as an extension board at various places in the lift.
This extension board has several names but keeps the same connections.
CAN addressing allows the role of this board to be known (see the CAN addressing section)
For a machinery or extension car-top or pit board, the X6, X8, X9, X13 and X17 connectors do not exist.
