UTILIZATION MANUAL
7. MAINTENANCE OF THE WATER.
The user must pay particular attention to the
maintenance of the water. Maintenance will depend on
the mineral content of the water used, how often the
Spa is used and by how many people.
There are three essential points for the maintenance
of the water:
FILTERING THE WATER
CHEMICAL ANALYSIS AND PH CONTROL

DISINFECTION OF WATER

7.1.
SAFETY
IN
PRODUCTS
Before using a chemical product, read carefully the
instructions of use on the product label.
It is advisable to always use chemical products by
the same person. Keep these products away from
children.
Add the exact specified amounts to the water, no
more, no less.
Keep containers tightly closed in dry, well-
ventilated places.
Do not inhale chemical products, and take care
not to let them come in contact with the eyes,
nose or mouth. Wash hands after use.
Follow the emergency instructions on the product
label in the event o fan accident or ingestion.
Do not smoke when handling these products, they
may be flammable.
Do not store these products inside the Spa unit.
Do not mix products. Add first one and then the
other to the water, to avoid possible reactions
among them.
Do not add chemical products to the water if there
is someone in the Spa.
7.2. MAINTENANCE PROGRAMME OF THE SPA
WATER
(MAINTENANCE KIT SPA COD. 16612)
All chemical products: Bromine in tablets, Algaecides,
Anti-calcareous and pH reducer, must be added in the
pre-filter basket, with the jet pump on for at least ten
minutes.

CHEMICAL
Add 5 drops of SOLUCION2 (PHENOL RED). Cover and
shake.
Compare the colour obtained with the colour scale.
The ideal level is between 7.2 and 7.6.
BROMIDE test
To determine the total residual bromide level of the
Spa water.
Fill the left phial with water from the Spa
Add 5 drops of SOLUCION1 (OTO). Cover and shake.
Compare the colour obtained with the colour scale.
The corresponding colour equals the ppm (ppm=g/
3
m
) of the total residual bromide.
The ideal level is between 2.2 and 3.3 ppm.

7.3. pH ADJUSTMENT

A pH index between 7.2 and 7.6 is recommended.
The pH level measures the acidity and alkalinity.
Values above 7 are alkali and below 7 acid.
It is very important to maintain the correct
pH level both for the disinfectant to work
properly
and
deposits on the Spa.
The effects of a very low pH level are:
The disinfectant quickly dissipates.
The Spa equipment could corrode.
The water may cause irritation to bathers.
The effects of a very high pH level are:
The disinfectant is less effective.
Deposits will appear on the acrylic and
equipment.
The water may become cloudy.
The pores of the filtering cartridge may
become blocked.
Check the pH of the water daily using the pH analyser
case.
If the pH is above the indexes, use pH MINOR SPA.
Wait two hours and re-do the pH test.
Once the pH index has been adjusted to the values
indicated above, proceed with the following point.
