3. INTENDED USE

The product is intended to charge and discharge batteries of the type NiMH/NiCd (1 - 20 cells), LiPo/LiIon/LiFe/LiHV
(1 - 8 cells) and lead-acid batteries (1 - 12 cells, 2 V - 24 V).
The charging current can be set between 0.1 A and 40.0 A (depending on the number of cells/battery voltage). The
maximum charging capacity is 1000 W.
The discharging current is set between 0.1 A and 8.0 A (depending on the number of cells/battery voltage). The
maximum discharging capacity is 80 W.
The charger is operated via four buttons and a two-part, backlit LCD screen.
The charger also offers a connection for an external temperature sensor (not included, can be ordered as accesso-
ry) to monitor the battery. A balancer is integrated for lithium batteries with multiple cells; an external balancer board
provides various sockets for connections.
A USB port and the software provided let you operate the charger via a PC (Windows operating system from
Windows XP or higher).
The charger should be powered only by a regulated direct voltage of 11 - 30 V (power adapter or car lead-acid
battery).
Two integrated fans exhaust waste heat outward. The fans are activated automatically as needed.
The safety instructions and all other information contained in these operating instructions must be observed!
Read the operating instructions carefully and thoroughly and keep them for future reference. Pass this product on to
third parties only together with the operating instructions.
Using the product for purposes other than those described above can damage the product and involves hazards
such as short circuit, fire, electric shock, etc. The entire product must not be changed or converted and the housing
must not be opened!
This product complies with the applicable national and European regulations.
