Perform the manual test procedure below before each

use, to test the GFCI.
1. Turn the power on at the control panel.

2. Push the test button (b) in.



Note: Power to the GFCI receptacle should be off.
If the green LED power light remains illuminated, DO
NOT USE until the GFCI is replaced. Consult an
electrician for assistance.
3. Push the reset button in.



Circuit Breaker

The generator is also protected by a 20A circuit breaker located on the control
panel.
Note: Some generators have multiple circuit breakers (20A and 30A) on their
control panels. See Control Panel for your machine.
The circuit breaker protects the generator from severe overloads or short circuits. If
the circuit breaker opens, turn the engine off immediately and determine the cause
before restarting. Check the appliances and tools attached to the generator for
defects and make sure their power requirements do not exceed the power rating of
the generator or the current limit of the receptacles.
When the circuit breaker opens, the breaker button will pop out. To reset circuit
breaker, push the circuit breaker button in.

Twist-Lock Receptacles

Twist-lock receptacles are used at the 120V Amp and 120/240V outlets. These
receptacles are protected by the GFCI.
To attach a power cord to a twist-lock receptacle, insert plug into receptacle and
turn it clockwise to lock it in place.
Note: Not available on the GP2500.
The green LED power light (a) will illuminate and
the circuit breaker is at the ON position.
The reset button (c) should pop out.
The green LED power light should go off.
The red LED fault light (d) should be illuminated.
Manually reset the circuit breaker to ON, if needed.
A green LED power light will illuminate and the red
LED fault light will be off.
