Safety Instructions

READ AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS IN FULL TO AVOID POSSIBLE HARM AND DAMAGE.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS AND PASS THEM ON TO ANY SUBSEQUENT USER.
It is essential for users to observe these instructions for use
and safety precautions in order to avoid injuries, damage to
health and harm.
Do not use the machine if damaged. At the fi rst sign of a
defect, unusual noises or smells switch the machine off
and unplug from the socket. Risk of electric shock and fi re.
Contact the Nespresso Club.
Only use the machine if the cable is intact. Arrange for
replacement of damaged cables from Nespresso Club only.
Risk of fatal electric shock!
Only plug the machine into suitable, earthed mains connec-
tions. Make sure that the power supply meets specifi cations
on the identifi cation plate of the machine (see underside
of machine). Otherwise there is a risk from fi re and electric
shock!
Place the machine on an even, heat-resistant surface to
avoid fi re hazard. Store and use the machine indoors only.
Do not put the cable near sources of heat or on sharp edges
and the like. Disconnect by pulling out the plug and not
pulling the cable itself, or the cable may be damaged.
Do not allow the cable to dangle! Arrange the cable so that
there is no risk of tripping over it!
The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabili-
ties, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
Always use the milk container with lid and milk nozzle that
are included in supply for milk recipes. Otherwise there is a
risk of scalding.
After use the milk nozzle will still be very hot. Do not touch!
Risk of burns!
If coff ee volumes higher than 150 ml are programmed:
Let the machine cool down for 5 minutes before
making the next coff ee. Overheating risk!

Keep these instructions safe
Never put your hand inside the space for the capsules. Risk
of injury! Never remove the housing from the machine. Do
not insert any objects into the openings. This may result
in danger of electric shock! Any work that is not described
in these instructions should only be carried out by the
Nespresso Club!
Clean the machine with care at regular intervals. Soiling
may cause damage to health. Unplug the machine and
allow to cool off before cleaning.
Descale the machine at regular intervals according to the
instructions. Otherwise the machine may become damaged
and pose risk to health.
Make sure all electrical connections, plugs and cables are dry.
Never submerge the machine in liquids. Protect the machine
from dripping or splashing water. Electricity and water
together pose a risk to life from electric shock.
If the machine is out of use for a longer period (holidays
etc.) unplug it from the mains.
