5.1 Preparations
Electric shock
• Before cleaning and changing the air filter, switch off the appliance
at the ON/OFF switch a and remove the power plug e.
• Protect the appliance from splashing and do not use a wet cloth for
cleaning.
• Only ever dry clean the airflow grille 4 and temperature sensor
5 with a brush or use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment.
• Make sure that no foreign bodies can enter openings. Do not insert
any objects into openings in the equipment.
• Do not use sharp objects, e.g. a tail comb, to remove dust or foreign
bodies.
Risk of fire
• Do not use benzine, paint thinners or other highly flammable
substances for cleaning.
• Do not use harsh cleaning agents or scouring products.
Damage to the appliance
• You will avoid discolouration of the appliance surface if you
immediately remove traces of products and dye in particular from
the plastic.
1. Switch off the appliance at the ON/OFF switch a.
2. Remove the power plug e of the pedestal and wall-mounted version.
3. Give the appliance 10 minutes to cool down.
5.2 Cleaning appliance
5.2.1 Appliance surfaces
1. Comply with the safety instructions in "Section 5.1" page 43.
2. The housing is made of sturdy materials that are easy to clean. Clean appliance
surface with a soft cloth that has been slightly moistened in water with a little
washing-up liquid added and well wrung out beforehand.
