4.6 Activating / deactivating long-hair drying function

The shutter 7 optimises the drying effect for long hair and thick curlers with a
diameter of up to 70mm, by blowing additional drying air into the neck area. That
way, this critical area can also be satisfactorily dried.
Activating the shutter 7
1. Using both hands, push back the slide 6 of the shutter 7 (towards the
control panel 9).
➥ The long-hair drying function is now active.
Deactivating the shutter 7
1. Using both hands, slide forward the slide 6 of the shutter 7 (away from the
control panel 9).
➥ The long-hair drying function is now inactive.
Short-hair drying or small curlers
• To achieve an optimal effect when drying short hair or curlers with
a diameter of less than 60mm and to avoid excess heat / hot air on
the neck, the shutter 7 should be closed or the long-hair drying
function deactivated in this operating mode.

4.7 End of treatment

The pilot lamps j and the display of the drying time k flash 10 times in quick
succession to indicate the end of treatment. In addition, you will hear 10 audio
signals.
Then the pilot lamps j continue to flash slowly to indicate that the treatment
has ended.
Settings for after-treatment remain stored
• The specified temperature and the airflow setting from the
previous treatment remain stored for optional after-treatment or
subsequent treatment.
• To reset the defaults, restart the appliance by briefly switching the
appliance OFF and back ON at the ON/OFF switch a.

4.8 Switching off appliance (shutting down)
